Go to the OT mass at St. Jude's on 1/12 at 9:30 am. We're headed to Lafitte's to drink afterwords.

Also, Port of Call is a good food stop (giant burgers), but it’ll be packed. Get the monsoon there... it’s there famous drink (think rum punch).

It's going to be like Mardi Gras down here that weekend.
oh yeah, I was perfectly content with staying home and watching this on TV, the old lady(no pics,) informed me last weekend that we are going to the game

Don't--Pee in public. More tourist go to jail over this than almost anything else. If you gotta go, buy a drink and use the facilities.
Do--Have one good end meal. You are close to Peche and Couchon. Both are great.

Yute comes up. Says “I bet I can tell you where you got dem shoes at”
You oblige him.
He smirks And yells “on ya feets! Gimme $20!”
Then follows you for 4 blocks cussing and screaming at you for not “honoring” your bet.

Thats a great area. There's a million great places to eat and drink around there. I would try Cochon Butcher for a stop in lunch and to get a beer (they always have a decent craft beer list, order the macaroni and cheese). Also, Id spend a day on or around Magazine St. There's shopping for girls and plenty of good food and bars (bruch at Red Dog Diner, check out one of the pancake orders).
GO TO JACK ROSE IN THE PONTCHARTRAIN HOTEL. They have a famous painting of Lil Wayne and an awesome rooftop bar called Hot Tin. Be ready to spend some cash at either of these places though.
In the Quarter, do bourbon however you like, its all a wild time. If you're looking for brunch, I like Stanley's, for dinner the oyster bar at the Royal Sonesta is cool (cant remember the name off the top of my head)
Finally, check out the WWII museum if need a break from drinking or are a museum fan like myself. It's world class.
Good Luck and don't even try to detox while you're there. Retox and just accept the shakes after a 3 day bender.

Chicken and Watermelon
The Beach on Bourbon St
The Oz on Bourbon St
If you’re going to be on Bourbon St after midnight hang out on the corner of Canal St and Bourbon St, you a should be able to find a “good time” if you know what I mean
Go to Finns and ask for Glassman’s 4.5 fingerbang special.
You’re welcome

I'll attempt a serious answer for you:
Don't attempt to walk to Bourbon St. from your hotel. You will die. Take an Uber.
The food in NOLA is amazing. Almost any place is decent. Bignets for breakfast at Cafe du Monde is almost a mandatory experience.
If you don't want to be drunk all day, the WWII museum is a must-see.
A popular thing for Clemson fans to do on Jan 13 will be to STTDB. So get ready.

Just say...."on my feet" and you'll be fine. Don't accept anything such as maps, tour pamphlets, etc. b/c they'll want cash in return.
My wife and I enjoyed the dinner cruise on Creole Queen. They have a jazz band playing on the top deck.
ETA: Fritzel's European Jazz Pub is a cool hangout.

Peche is a great spot for lunch of dinner in the WHD.
We either hit up Peche, Meril or Cochon before every Saints game that isn’t at noon.

Lines will be retarded. Who wants to wait 45 mins for fried dough?
Much better breakfast options in town.

One of my favorite things to do is sit at Labooze and people watch and watch all the strippers going to and from work at Ricks, also watch all the pervs walk in and out
I’ve spent hours at Labooze just people watching on Bourbon. It’s one of my guilty pleasures
