I can assure you he didn’t watch Tucker tonight so there won’t be an answer. 
I haven’t seen the segment yet either. I only watch the opening monologue most nights.

Well, for one, it’s not an actual war zone as depicted. If you look at the stats the metrocrime.org group put together you’ll see the rate of crime increase has been steadily slowing as the jail population has been going back up after it dropped significantly in late 2020.
That’s not to say the crime situation in New Orleans (or most other major metro areas) is “good”, because it isn’t. But the report was clearly designed for partisan purposes to cherry-pick juicy footage in order to present the image that New Orleans is descending into chaos, which is just flat out not true.
That kind of irresponsible and partisan reporting unfairly hurts our state image and our economy.
We can be honest about the issues, why they exist, and what can be done about them, without political hyperbole and piling on.

The only way to fully fix it is to address the worst aspects fully, and if the only way to do it is to call out the worst aspects, so be it.
