Unruly crowds spilled out of a bar in a New Orleans neighborhood - including people on horseback - as out-of-control Halloween celebrations left streets trashed and residents fuming.

Now, Mid-City residents are blasting the police for ignoring their pleas for help as dozens filled an intersection around 8pm on Saturday night. 'This is the first time, for me, that I’ve ever felt this threatened by things getting out of control and this city not being available when we need the help,' said Kelly Holmes, who owns a bar in the area.

I feel like this is a normal occurrence in New Orleans, not sure why it made national news.

She must not have lived there for long.

How do you live in New Orleans and then get surprised when people are partying in the street at 8pm the Saturday night before Halloween?

The crowds littered the sidewalks with alcohol bottles, horse feces and urine stains that were still visible the next day.

In MidCity? Not really.

Picture looks like The Red Door on Carrollton. That isn't a party area of NOLA by any stretch. Its neighborhood bars

100 block of North Carrollton, between Iberville and Canal Street, right on the car route.

Love that the article referenced Teedy, by that term.

So yeah, that's Red Door and Wit's Inn. You also have two mexican restaurants in that area, and the blue hairs and Venezia.

NOLA is becoming a sanctuary for the lawless that'll eventually mimic cities in CA, WA, OR and MN.
