Is that Joe Burrow’s great great grandfather on the top picture on the balcony with his arms around the two ladies?

From Pic #1... I was unaware that the earlier Lucky Dog carts had big wooden wagon wheels on them. That's kind of cool.

Then you're both ignorant.
New Orleans was always... Different in that regard.

Look at all those beautiful white folks

This thread reminds me of how poor my family was only three generations ago.
When those balls were going on, my great grandfathers were struggling to feed 8,11,6,9 kids respectively. Wild to think about. They had no running water.
Not even ten years later, when the country was starving... They started doing alright.

Not sure if serious but Lucky Dog wasn't founded until 1947.

I know, Baw. The predecessor was Lucky Chien. They did not use all of the advertising gimmicks, or gaudy colors.
I think Blaine Kern Sr's father started it.

You're a poverty stricken man's TulaneLSU.

Never knew or really thought of what K&B stood for (Katz and Besthoff). Interesting

Those that were farming and eating deer, rabbit, seafood, and wild duck before the depression continued to be able to eat. They had to work where they could and try and trade for flour, tobacco, and coffee.
A lot of LA that was hidden from the rest of the world was a pretty happy place.

Is that John Lennon in drag down front?

Don't let TulaneLSU's pleasant demeanor fool you.
He will straight-up execute you and everyone you have ever loved and anal-rape your corpse.
You should edit before he sees this.

Somebody please explain to me why there’s not a single pot hole in any of those streets in the photos? I thought it was impossible to keep smooth and intact streets in New Orleans due to the soil conditions.

100 years from now somebody will look at photos of a crowd we're in and think...they're dead. All of them are dead.
