The best and worst attribute of New Orleans is that nobody there gives a frick. It's the most fatalistic region in our country. I love it for it. I also hate it for it.

Correct. I don't believe you or anyone else should have the right to say cities XYZ must remain home bound until the end of April when dealing with a virus that's in all likelihood going to touch every pocket of the country. This isn't a hurricane curfew.

We can criticize his policies, but JBE is a reasonable guy who is both decent during emergencies and has nothing to lose politically. I expect that he is trying to do whatever the right thing is.

look i'm not advocating for rules against Nola
I'm saying if Nola can't act right, it should make its own rules for its own city. don't get JBE to make it a state rule so Nola isn't singled out
i'm not going anywhere near Nola anytime soon. i don't care if they run out of ER beds b/c their population wants to spread this disease and harm their fellow citizens. don't ask me to pay for your bailout, either

Traffic since last Thursday has been down considerably.
