And when they are released there will be a five day lag time between when patients were tested and when results are released. So look at the new numbers as if we are almost a week behind.

Per capita doesn't matter when we're talking virus spread. The population here is significantly less in numbers and density. Infection rate will reach a peak here sooner and at far lower TOTAL numbers than places like Italy or NYC.

About 10 million people in 9,260 sq miles. By comparison, Louisiana has 4.66 million people in 52,378 sq miles. That’s insane.

I would like to see how race plays into this. I was reading an article today about Albany ga being one of the hottest virus areas for ga. Heavy AA community. Article even said that after positive tests several victims still were not isolating themselves.

Not sure what that does for you one way or the other. Everyone knows the sickest most obvious cases were tested at the beginning. Now, access to tests is opening up.

MrLSU was saying earlier in the thread that his doctor sources at Touro were saying that 90% of these new tests were coming back positive
Thankfully, he was dead wrong
Tests are still only being approved by doctors yet less than 1/4 are actually positive. Hopefully the end of flu season and less pollen in the air will make less people (and presumably their doctor) believe they may have the virus.
