Are kids allowed at the Fairgrounds? In the clubhouse?

Was thinking about taking them the Friday after Thanksgiving for something fun to do.

Yes. They have a few special family events during the year too in case you want to keep a look out for them

Yeah, I went a few years ago and some friends brought their kids. They had a blast.

Yes. Only thing they cant do is place a bet.

ETA; And buy booze.

My kids love going to the fairgrounds. Especially on special even nights.

Do you have to buy tickets in advance?

No you don't. Thanksgiving Day and weekend is pretty busy and if you want to eat in the club house you may need reservations, you will almost definitely need them if you go Thanksgiving Day.

No, but I'd call and rent a box.

Yes. Betting helps kids with math.

Seriously, bring them. They will love it. Bet minimums and you will keep them entertained for the price of a movie ticket.

Should be good. Going to the fairgrounds for races is a great thing to do with the family, imo. I see families out there everytime I go. You can get up pretty close to the horses when they show them before a race. Should be exciting for the kids. They also have special events through the year like weenie dog races and zoo animal races that are fun.

Hell they even have family days with racing zebras and camels..

Kids love seeing the horses. Just stay away from the depressing first floor betting area.
