If you study Louisiana history you will come to the conclusion that New Orleans should have never been founded where it is. The city government should be dissolved and the city should be liquidated. Sell it to some entertainment company and run it as such.

100 million dollars is a lot of money and it’s only 14% of the Total budget? Why does a city need that much money?

New Orleans ran all of the business out of the city, more than once. They wanted to be in the tourism business where the core business of New Orleans is bed changers, waiters, bartenders, Mardi Gras.... and Lawyers. This is what you get.

You never received the education at a good Catholic school like those of us in New Orleans. You probably attended a public school. NO - there is no such thing as a good public school - ANYWHERE.

This is awesome.

I don't care what happens in New Orleans as long as there isn't another post-Katrina style mass exodus that poisons the surrounding area. We should build a wall around New Orleans, think of the jobs that would create.

New Orleans is a GREAT city. It's why a MILLION people were on the streets for Mardi Gras. It's why NOLA gets over 10 million visitors a year. It's money the state relies on. The notion that New Orleans is a "shi*hole" and such is downright B.S. Metro NOLA is over a million people that enjoy every aspect. Hard working, tax paying people for the MOST part. A very alive and active city. Tens of thousands of people out at resaurants, bars, etc... We don't RELY on the idiots at city hall. We don't rely on handouts. Most of us are self sufficient like most Americans. We have a way of living and a flavor and it's ALL good. We pay taxes and work hard. I've lived here over 60 years and have NEVER been unemployed or lazy. You can go into any community and pick out a bunch of losers to point at but you people are ridiculous. You have NO CLUE. You never received the education at a good Catholic school like those of us in New Orleans. You probably attended a public school. NO - there is no such thing as a good public school - ANYWHERE. You're classless and dumb. Get a life wherever you are. That is if life has a heartbeat in your location. LOSERS

Like that has never happened before

That’s not really responsive. I’m only pointing out that the state economy relies on more than just sales and income taxes, as you state.

We need a state constitution to fix our financial problems. The only problem it’s a new constitution would be written by the current idiots in Baton Rouge. We need to elect a strong governor who wants a new constitution that has f’ing business sense.

Agree completely. We need a new constitution yet cannot trust the idiots not to make one even worse.

Now you have depressed me because I know that scenario will never happen, thanks.

You brought that part up Bro.
