For pennies on the dollar. I frequently look at what the government is selling and found this today. The tent hospital from the convention center is now for sale, current bid $35,000. There are so many takeaways from this, like why was it built, and if the virus is spiking why are we getting rid of it? Can a "journalist" ask about this at the next press conference?

Of course not. It does not fit the narrative.

To give money to the right people.

One, because they literally couldn't treat anything serious there.

Two, spiking case numbers doesn't mean equal hospitalization spikes. A bunch of college kids getting the rona means nothing as far as hospital resources for example.

Anyone who digs into this will likely find some politically connected businessmen who profited handsomely. They likely have ties to JBE one way or another. The ways of Louisiana are hard to break.

Let's buy it.

Turn it into a real bar for The OT.

Would be so excellent for a tent meant for a COVID hospital to be used to jam packing drunk co-eds into!!

What an absolute and complete fricking joke. Was any of this shite even used? In our state, follow the money that is where your answer lies.

I'd imagine Daniel McLaughlin will get quite a few emails from the OT

We paid MILLIONS of our tax dollars for that debacle and here it goes to some business guy for $35K? What a fricking joke.

They ended up housing less than 20 people in that "hospital" and none of them even had active COVID. They were homeless or near homeless people who had been released from an actual hospital and they didn't want to put up in hotels.

Maybe they plan to use the state parks we paid for along with the state trooper to sit at the gate 24/7

SIGN THE JBE RECALL

He has squandered millions of dollars with no direct benefit to the citizens of Louisiana

If this is the case (which I believe it is), why are we using # of cases to determine whether we shutdown more/lift restrictions?

Because we already proved we will never need it.

Which, in turn, proves that the lockdowns (past, present, and future) were worthless and unnecessary.
