It's kind of like that argument you smokers pull on us non smokers. "Yall have the right to go somewhere else." Now I can say "You have the right to go smoke outside or not at all."

using the government to get your way and destroy liberty is worth celebrating

Talk to me in ten years when you can't carry a glass of that brown stuff down the street.

You mean like the rest of the country.

I wouldn't have a huge issue with it. I usually finish my drink before leaving the bar

Your support of this is all based around the idea of cigarettes and you are ignoring what was done to outlaw it.

I know you're trolling with this. But if by chance you are being serious, you are an idiot.

Yall are getting way too butt hurt about a small inconvenience to smokers. Go step outside. It's not that bad. We've had to do it for years to go get a breath of fresh air.

Why do bars attribute smoking to profit? Would smokers suddenly stop visiting bars if they had to go outside to smoke?

What bars/casinos can a non smoker visit currently in New Orleans that they can enjoy?

My preference as I said earlier would be to have a choice as a non-smoker. But non-smokers are given the choice to live with it or stay home. Now that the shoe is on the other foot are smokers claiming its not fair?

because people don't like to smell smoke in some of their favorite bars and they want to go their without smelling smoke

its that simple

People like Wink who don't want to smell like smoke.

The health reason is minimal compared to the annoyance of smoke.

"it's not paranoia if they're really out to get you"

how is worrying about the nanny state expanding after seeing the nanny state expand being paranoid?

so you think it stops here? you think Nola is done restricting the liberty of those within its jurisdiction? yes or no

if you say no, you're paranoid

I wish. You see the whole Disneyland fiasco with all the cases of measles coming from there because of the dumb fricking hippie granola Jenny McCarthy worshipping parents in Cali that can't fricking vaccinate their children.

Legit reason and fair tradeoff, IMO. Now we can still enjoy our favorite bars without smelling like smoke, and the smokers can still smoke at said bar..just outside. Everyone wins
