did the government not just tell a private business that they cannot allow a legal activity within their business?
they did and we will all be better for it. Time will tell.

Talk to me in ten years when you can't carry a glass of that brown stuff (in your avy) down the street.

Walk 20 feet to the door and go smoke outside. They were nice enough to let yall do that

Yeah out here all the bars just have outdoor patios(with awnings and some covering in case of rain) that you can easily go smoke at AND still be served drinks. Misters in the summer to keep it cool and those standing lamps in the winter to keep your warm. The Hooters by me has a room that is ok for smoking as well...they consider it a "patio" because it has large open windows into it.

New Orleans gave no option to the non smoker other than just don't go.

First of all, so what? Businesses aren't charities, they're started to make money. If allowing smoking makes them more money, that's what they'll do.

Second, bullshite. All of the nice hotel bars were non-smoking. Lucy's, Rusty Nail, and Barcadia are all very popular and are non-smoking. Just because all of the bars on Bourbon allowed smoking doesn't mean that there were no options for you.
