Serious question, but at what point is it 'your business'?

If they take a shite in their yard and the smell is intolerable, do you have a right to complain? Just wondering what is the limit of smelling items from a neighbors yard

Actually, you are on point. That is exactly correct. It's called capitalism pussy, if you don't like the smell of your neighbors then make more money and buy yourself more room. It is that simple.

Yep. And I've seen countless threads on here talking about how disgusting smoking is and how they hate smokers and the smell of smoke.

That’s in a public place dummy.

People here take the "private property" thing to the extreme. Like they should be able to do anything they want on their own property, even if it negatively affects other people.

Hey a-hole, what about THEIR private property rights? You want everyone to yield to you and acquiesce to your wants. Screw you. Unless there is an ordinance against smoking you can suck it.

You sound like the typical busybody, bitch neighbor everyone hates.

That isn't how America works. You are free to do as you please as long as you aren't infringing on another's rights. Is having clean air, a natural right for an American? Again, I was asking what is the line in these types of situations? If your neighbor is burning tires all day everyday, do you and your community, not have a right to clean air, instead of all of these pollutants? Same with farmers who spray all kinds of chemicals on the plants and then the run off contaminates clean drinking water (well water/springs/etc).

Obviously cig smoke isn't big enough of a deal, but at what point is someone's pollution infringing on my/communities rights?

I’m a pussy because I can smell my neighbors cigs? I didn’t complain about them like the op.

If that is what classifies as being a pussy then you must be a gapping a-hole...

Go buy a Kamado joe smoker and set it right by your fence. Light your pit and get a fan to blow the smoke into their back yard

Except that's exactly how it works. The corporations who make more money (and are viewed as individuals with the same rights as everyone else according to our government) produce all kinds of pollutants that affect people, yet receive no reprimand. The EPA has basically suspended many major rules that could be a hindrance to making money to allow what you describe as an infringement on others' rights. The clean water act, carbon emissions, and other regulations no longer are in effect since the current administration took office. Don't like it? Then vote them out.

I had no idea how many sensitive people would be triggered by this thread.

Whether it’s public or private doesn’t make it any less annoying. And really, it’s more annoying having to smell it constantly while I’m on my OWN private property. At least in public I know I’m in a public space and I have to put up with other people. When I’m on my own private property, I shouldn’t have to smell the second-hand smoke in my own backyard.

Yet that isn't how it is supposed to work. The gov't is obviously catering to big business, but that is not how our founding fathers meant it to be. The gov't should work for the people, but we see that is not the case. The gov't should protect the people from corrupt companies who contaminate our food, water, and air.

Plus voting them out is your answer? You really think that whoever the Dems/Reps push into office, will give a frick about you or me? It will be business as usual.

Sure it is. Under the premise if they are doing wrong(businesses) to people, people wont/shouldnt support that business anymore. Then said business will go defunct.
