That said, the Assistant director who handed him the gun needs to be charged with something, but ultimately, the guy who pulled the trigger is guilty. He's negligent for not checking the gun himself.

Baldwin is the exec producer of this picture. There was reportedly an overall lack of safety on set, and he as the head honcho must bear the blame.

Don't agree with that. I had a rifle fire from pressure on the safety because a screw had worked loose in the trigger assembly. It isn't the case here but it certainly can happen.

That probably hurts more than it helps.

Why would anyone think it’s ok to pull a trigger of a real gun while pointing it at someone? Doesn’t matter where this is located or what industry, you don’t pull a trigger of a gun without personal responsibility.
As said, if this is truly where hollywood digs in (which is outrageous) then hollywood needs to design prop guns that are not in fact real guns.
