New mate asked me to cover alcohol for the weekend... advice sought

Mates, I've never really had a black friend before, but this weekend we are going tubing and such with three other couples, one of whom is black (dating a white girl, so congrats due to him). He covered the rental house and we're all responsible for various other things (one couple doing a bbq and breakfast both mornings, another covering the tubing fees, and we drew the alcohol. Weed and other drugs are BYO and we are well provisioned in this field, believe me).

I texted my new homie this afternoon and said "Cheers, mate - what's your tipple?". After some initial confusion and a lengthy back and forth, I was able to ascertain that this chap enjoys gin most heartily. As such, I've procured a bottle of the finest Roku brand Japanese gin I could find on short notice. But I'm left wondering... what sort of mixers might he most like?

I've got some flavoured LaCroix along with bloody mary mixer, but perhaps he would also like grape soda? Sprite? But then he's of a very high station, so such potential mixers may offend him if he thinks that I think he's rather common with such mixers. I'm rather torn, TBH.

My current plan is to bring red wine, champagne, cans of cheap champagne from Trader Joseph's, IPAs, hazy IPA's, some whiskey samples from my Flavia subscription, the aforementioned Roku Japanese gin, little cans of Sprite, cans of Diet Coke, and cans of LaCroix. This way I (and he) could "mask" the stereotypical trope of black persons spoiling fine liquor with cheap, sugary sodas yet still provide him the opportunity to do so if this is what his palate desires.
