Millenials didn't raise themselves. Someone had to teach them to eschew responsibility and think they should always get a trophy.

Is your aunt relaying a first hand account and not known for exaggeration? Every couple of weeks this gets posted and don't really believe it. I guess my grandmother has been forwarding chain mail again.

I took a look at her emails to help her out and the inbox looked like something from early 2000's. I didn't even believe that kind of spam chain email still existed but there was an inbox full of them.

This is such stupidity. I'm 29 and no one I know that's 25 or so and up fits the description of a "millennial".

It's even more stupid, considering the fact that when I was growing up, I was always told I was part of the "generation x 'losers' that would destroy this country.

If you're 29 you're not even close to being gen x.

I remember someone from HR was telling someone near me about someone who applied for a project controls job. They were an art major and on the resume there was not one single job they worked that was even close to the type of work they would be doing... And they also submitted examples of their art work.. lol. Some people are just clueless.

Are the millenials the first generation where every time one of them does something really stupid, it is plastered all over the internet.

There are dumbasses in every generation.

Good interview question: How many t-ball, soccer, pee wee football and under 8 basketball trophies do you have?

(Must keep a straight face and pretend to write down the response.)

At the moment it looks like 21 millennials need a safe zone.

Sorry my friend, you've never been in Gen X. Now, if you want to go back to calling yourself Gen Y that'd be fine.

I'm 29 and I can assure you that you're not close to Gen X. Really 82 would be the closest you can debate it, certainly not 87.

But I really think you're mistaking millenials with the SJW crowd that is actually 5 years younger than us. I've always thought of ourselves as a generation more defined by wanting freedom than the past generations and not having as much loyalty to the structure we were given. The SJW generation below us wants parents around them at all time and to be stripped from freedom so long as it provides them with security. We're clearly not that, and no need to be ashamed to be associated with the older millenials.

I just can't believe that he would even accept an interviewee under those terms. If that happened to me, I'd immediately say "no thanks" in hiring or even interviewing him, and if he asked why, it should be "Because you're a coddled pussy, and I can do better things with my time than that."

The whole construct is dumb. It's because old people are on social media and want a boogie man. This generation is just as dumb as those before it.

The guy was hired as a favor to someone. He was more than qualified to do what he was hired for, so the fact that mom n dad came was just weird. We still laugh about it.
