Sup Baws and Bawettes,
Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm in the job market for a new job. Of course, this is the only reliable place for honest, unadulterated advice so I'm starting here first. Opportunities I'm looking into are in Lake Charles, Hattiesburg, and Mobile. Where should I move? I'm a plant operator, so you know money aint a thang.

Quality of life in Lake Chuck is kinda shitty... Mobile has a strange smell... out of the three, I’d absolutely choose Hattiesburg... decent night life, decent food, and not too far from better cities

If the pay is the exact same across the board go to Hattiesburg. Less traffic to deal with at a likely smaller plant. Likely cheaper cost of living. Dont have to deal with Lake Charles trash.

Hattiesburg isn’t bad at all. Decent restaurants. There is some traffic to deal with but nice golf courses and close to the coast and not too far from Florida beaches.
Cost of living in Hattiesburg is dirt cheap.

Depends on what you want out of life. Hattiesburg is close to great hunting, Mobile is close to the Alabama beaches, and Lake Charles has probably the best job market. If you have kids, public schools and nearby family members also play a big role.

This to me might be why i’d pick Mobile.. in a vacuum, Hattiesburg is a better town than Mobile and LC, but Mobile’s proximity to Destin, Pensacola, Navarre, etc might put it over the top for me.. and the Alabama beaches (Gulf Shores, Orange Beach) are even closer.. Mobile is only an hour away from Perdido Key FL, if you could swing it where you live 30 min from Mobile and 30 min from Perdido, that seems like it’d be ideal, if there are any decent neighborhoods in that area.
