New Car GMC/Chevy related question

Anytime I rent a car now GPS doesn't work and they want you to pay for services.


Is this the norm now that they try stick you with add ons?

I am trying to be the 100th connected phone. Plus I don't want all my business post on screen just want GPS

You can turn off everything but gps in apple/android auto.

Connect your phone with USB and CarPlay works fine.

Ive had gps navigation in my gm vehicle i have owned for 8 years. Never use it, just use my phone. Seems better anyway

GM is dropping Android Auto / Carplay in new vehicles so they can force you into a subscription. They are dropping it in the name of "safety"
