The delta from their current wage of ~15 to this reduces the impact significantly.
That’s a 33% increase. That’s huge.

Managers at fast food make 60k+ on average. This brings the hourly worker assuming 30 hour weeks (no benefits) to roughly 31k.
In order for the manager to make the equivalent rate they were making compared to the hourly, unskilled/low skilled labor would be nearly $80K/year.

This is more likely to be better for ca than not.
How, when the cost of everything sold at minimum wage employing business will need to increase at the same % to cover the new costs of labor?

What’s the point of making so much money if all the lower income people can’t afford to live there and therefore leave?
You think skilled labor isn’t going to increase rates consummately with unskilled rates? Raising minimum wage is going to do 2 things,
1) increase the price of everything to cover the cost of labor
2) result in fewer low skilled, repeated jobs through automation as now the cost of automation is going to be closer to the cost of labor
What I predict will happen is this, the price of everything fast food related will go up, and fewer people will have fast food related jobs, meaning fewer people will have money to buy fast food.
This will ultimately lead CA to enacting larger and larger state funded and run welfare programs for unemployed/under-employed

They'll automate and lay off all their employees.

Then why do we need to increase minimum wage?
We dont.
Min wage is for people with zero skill or education.

I think the minimum wage should be $0.

Spot on. My starting manager pay has to be above what a cook makes at 40 hours. If we want people to co sides our positions the pay has to go up
