Is it illegal in LA? If not, why not just bush-hog it? If it is illegal, then family pretty much had to call the police. However, I'd want to call an attorney first.

Years ago one of my wife's cousins was growing a little on family land. He told me where it was in case someone hunting there ran across it. Well someone did run across it and took some, (a pretty good bit or so I heard) for "royalty". Of course I do not know anything about this, but I heard it was pretty good. Simply hearsay of course.

I'm guessing it's big enough to cause the county to send out about 6 units that are now canvassing our property and spotlighting the shite out of everything.
They're going to try to gather it up in the cover of darkness. They called the house to get directions rather than use their radios that can be heard over scanners to direct the other units out here.
I'm assuming they think this will never be publicized and they can make a nice score.
I work for the biggest newspaper in my region. Can't wait to talk to our crime reporter and see if she ever heard a peep about it. Because drug busts are always in the TV and newspapers here.
