Sounds like he should have checked out the campus ministry.

Sorry to hear it, but perhaps this will be the wakeup call for the family to get the help it needs. Quite often, drug abuse is a symptom of dysfunction in the family.

I just lost a good buddy two months ago. Saw him the night it happened. Seemed fine. Was about to get his masters. Very sad.

Yes as a matter of fact the vast majority of overdoses are from that combination if I'm not mistaken.

I live in East Cobb in Lassiter district. 2 kids of close friends have OD'd and many more around this area. Some have died. A&E did the 7 part special on the Heroin Triangle up here.

Unfortunately, the East Cobb/Alpharetta/Johns Creek super parents would not do any interviews or allow their precious chilluns to be filmed.

Why do we care so much for addicts again? This kid will likely be a burden on society once he blows his inheritance on more drugs

BTW, not sure if this related but most all of the opiates that are gettiing out on the streets are coming from bullshite pharmacies and doctors that will open up for a year or two, put millions of pills on the streets then vanish, open up as something different across town. The FDA used to be able to go after distribution houses for this bullshite. ( when you had 15 million OxyContin presribed in a town of 3000 for example) But congress passed laws making them excempt from prosecution and then ran off all the people who knew how to go after them.
What are you talking about?

Scruffy is going to need to see links for this.

Most of our clients come from middle to upper class families. It effects all walks of life period.

I am not disagreeing with you. But dont you think that middle and upper class people are more likely to pay for treatment? It does not prove who does or does not have higher rates of addiction.

Are, or they poor because they are addicted?

I think the middle age group high OD rate is simple but harsh. They outlived the risk of OD just to get to the middle age group. It catches up at some point unless u stop

This doesn't matter anymore

This is very true now. There have been a lot of wealthy housewives in sububrbs around Dallas ODing because they get so addicted to the painkillers. That shite is the devil.

PS I'm sure this is going on in out cities suburbs, I just live in Dallas and here about it more here.

SO sad but it's all too common across all econimic families. There are rehab facilities that can help and some that just want money in this epedimic. Will keep him in my prayers.

I lost 6 guys I went to rehab with ( alcohol and a foundation) one was the DA son lasted 6 days one lasted less than 24 hours some are already back thank God.
I will say everyone has their own opinion on staying clean but for me reestablishing God in my everyday life was the only way.

Why can't people just drink, smoke some weed and do a couple bumps every now and then? No fricking will power. Just drink some water and calm down squids.
