This is a huge problem.

I don't disagree.

Honestly, I would test these dogs. You, gf and wiener dogs go grill in the back yard, play fetch, have your morning coffee out there. Test these pits and see how their fence holds up, and how your own holds up. If their shite fence is 3’ tall, they will leap over it and continue to dig under yours.

That's my plan. I was outside from about 6-6:45ish this morning. The pits stay inside at night, and I guess they don't wake up as early.

I don't know if there would be enough room between the two fences to dig. I see them potentially using it as a launch point if anything.

A few years ago, a pitbull strayed onto our property. I saw it jogging towards us and scooped up the kids and took them inside. What I saw play out from my kitchen window was nothing short of glorious. Our American Bulldog, who hung out on the opposite side of the property caught wind of what was happening and greeted the pit soon after he entered the property. After some tussling, the pit was held down and raped, prison style, for a solid 5 minutes. If he tried to move, he got messed up some more.

TLDR: get the right dog/s and let the pits come across.

Many years ago my daughter and her toddler lived in an apartment with a small yard separated from the next door apartment by chain link. The couple next door had two Pitts. My granddaughter being a toddler thought the dogs were for her to play with and would put her hand/arm through the chain link to pet them. She did learn not to do that. One day while i was visiting, the owners were outside with their dogs. I simply told them if the dogs did anything to harm my grandchild I would kill them and the dogs. This couple took their dogs and moved about a week later.

At my farm I have a neighbor who has a man that works for him doing odd jobs. The worker does not have a car and walks about 1.5 miles to work everyday. He was walking to work last fall early one morning and was attacked by 3 pits owned by some folks who had just moved in.

Worker had bites all over before the owners called the dogs back home. He went to hospital and had to have over 60 stitches. Was out of work for a week. When he got where he could get around he was walking to work again and one of the dogs started running towards him. But this time he was armed with an axe.

Let me tell you those dogs are strong and powerful, but they are no match for a man who loads hay bales every day of the summer, when he is armed with an axe.

Dog never had a chance. Owners kept the other 2 dogs inside from them on.

In the same boat, not with dachshunds though. Just a smaller animal my girlfriend has.

If a large dog went after it for no reason, I'd attempt to Mola Ram the dog's heart.

Yeah they kind of effd up on this one. For one it's three feet tall, dog on hind legs is easily taller. It was built to close to hop in between and dig but it is the perfect distance to use it as a spring platform over yours. Should have had some design review. This has actually made things worse.

Give them a steak with rat poison

Growing up we had a mutt that loved to eat the Decon rat poison. You could put it up on a shelf in the shed and he'd come out with that shite stuck all over his face with his tail waging. It'd clean him out the next day but other than that he showed no other problems.

Good outcome but id still consider moving. If there are pits in your hood then property values will likely be plummeting shortly

Numerous state offices are being forced out of downtown Austin due to land leases ending, etc. Tons of business development in the area.

Not only that, but I've spent the better part of my day going through my HOA paperwork. You'll never guess which breed is on the list of dogs not allowed in our neighborhood.

Does the HOA rule say anything about mixed breeds? They'll just say it's a mutt.

It references several pit mixes. It would appear that the HOA wanted no form of pit. I knew that when we signed on the house, I guess I just forgot about it because the dogs haven't been an issue before last week, so it never crossed my mind.

Furthermore, my HOA is meeting on 8/28 to elect a new resident board member and two advisory board positions. My girlfriend and I will be attending.

edit: Ray Charles could see these dogs are pits. They can claim they're mutts all they want.

1 is for sure (the black and white one that eats my fence). The brown one, I'm not sure. I'll definitely check when I get home.

That's a good question man. I'm sure it was a few things, not the least of which is that she knows if her dogs were to hurt something or someone, they'd be gone (either from the property or from existence). Possibly she's afraid of any legal ramifications? I'll ask.
