I wouldn't hesitate to report the existence of these dogs in your neighborhood post haste. The new setup sounds worse and scarier. Those dogs can hop that fence before you have time to do anything. I'm neighborly, but I'm not that neighborly when it comes to feeling safe and having my family safe in my own home and yard.

The sweetest pit you've ever met was apparently staying with another sweetest pit you've ever met. The visiting pit apparently wanted out so it jumped through a window pane and escaped.

Was thinking the same, but more of a ramp than a diving board. Once the dogs knock the 3’ plywood fence up against the main fence, they just created themselves a ramp for the 6’ fence. That would be a yuge concern for my so and dogs.

After some tussling, the pit was held down and raped, prison style, for a solid 5 minutes.

But this time he was armed with an axe.

axe is no good if they get teeth into a soft spot on his body first. maybe a knife would be effective if you have a pit lock jawed on you inner thigh, testicles, neck, etc, but an axe at close range...also having to overcome lack of strength that happens when a sensitive spot on the body is compromised...very little chance of success

“My baby would never harm a fly.” Girl at work talks about her damn pit like it’s a child all day. I don’t see the appeal to those mutts. German Shepards are much better and not trashy.

Seems like it worked out without the violence part. Good for you taking the high road

With that said, you should still exterminate those pits.
