I owned a piece of property and the neighborhood kids would dump limbs and trash. I was going to start a house so I started building a fence in the back because I don't want that crap on my property. I dug the holes (about 5 to start), put the concrete in and went home. The next day I go back and there is not one sign of a fence post of even a hole. Everything back to normal. I knock on the neighbors door and ask if she knew anything about it. She wanted to see so I took her. She said she didn't know anything but that was her property. I showed her the survey map (I was an Army Surveyor) and what she saw was a 5' offset pipe. So I explained it to her and started digging my holes and setting my posts again. She came outside with camera, husband and a case of the red arse. She was screaming, hollering and taking pictures of me digging holes. She called the cops and wanted me arrested for criminal damage to property. The cops of course said it was civil. She hired a surveyor (who I personally know). He called and asked if I was having trouble. He said "She's going to be pissed, because I surveyed it this morning and her fence is actually on your property. I guess she got the bad news. So I finished my fence and painted a HUGE pink vagina on her side. She never fricked with me again.

I'm pretty sure having someone worse than you living next door is impossible.

Nope.

One of my neighbors, who are an older couple, in their early 70s, they are overall good people. They are the type of neighbors who will come borrow an egg or cup of milk if they are cooking something and suddenly realize they are out.. and vice versa.

My other neighbors are cool as well. One day he was having a huge oak tree cut out of his front yard. He offered to wash our vehicles and everything (just in case they got dirty from the tree being cut down), but I didn't accept his offer. I was actually glad they were cutting down the tree.

Did it ever. But the worst was being conditioned for 20 years to only be able to poop while reading the paper. No paper, no poop.

In fla... Go figure. Older couple moves into house next door. Good middle class neighborhood. Husband passes away and adult crackhead son moves in with crackhead wife and crack babies. The owner of the home then goes into foreclosure and leaves adult crackhead son, his crackhead wife, and his crack babies there to live until foreclosure becomes final(6 months). Crackheads do crack head things and wakulla county sheriff does their thing. Crackheads had drag races in my subdivision, let other crackheads come over to be their roommates, sing crackhead songs until late at night. Ain't no party like a crackhead party. Think.....live pd from my front porch.

When I first built my house(maybe in the first six months) I see one of my neighbors walking around in my back yard like he is looking for something. Now remember this was an empty three acres of land the ten years this guy lived here before we built. So I go out and ask what up? He says he is sighting in his crossbow and is looking for an arrow or two. I turn around and ask him if he can see this fricking swing set that my kids play on daily that he is shooting towards. He agrees with me that this could have ended up bad and we move on. Never had another cross word with the guy again and is a great neighbor. All worked out in the end.

I'm intrigued. Did you ever find out who took down the original cemented posts and filled in the holes, or did you just assume that she was responsible?

First house we bought ended up being next to one of Master P's cousins. Never really had any issues with them. They'd constantly get a cab ride home and stiff the driver saying they had to go inside and get their wallet only to never answer the door. That wasn't my problem. They ended up moving out in the middle of the night. Came and borrowed a flashlight from me that I never got back. It was worth it. They really wrecked the house, and I saw the results when the new people moved in. They fixed it up nicely and flipped it to some other decent people.

Second house I had terrible neighbors. Parents moved out of the country and left the house to the two college aged sons. What could possibly go wrong? I think one of the sons joined the military, so he wasn't there much. The other worked at the Varsity, so he and the roommates would come home at 3:00 a.m. and start the party then. They'd get drunk and get in fights in their carport/driveway, which was right by my master bedroom. Even smashed through my fence during one fight. The bad neighbors made it an easy decision to sell that house.

Now have fantastic neighbors on both sides. Having bad neighbors really makes you appreciate when you have good ones.

You got lucky. Next time, just to be safe, paint a huge pink vagina on his forehead to make sure he gets the point.

You're not even mentioning the Ole Miss fan that would come and drink your beer. Or the tattooed thug looking one.

Well I can tell you this, they are from California and are a straight couple but only in the sense that there is a male and female. They raised two boys to be gender neutral and they play with Barbies. Don't get me wrong, I stripped my sister's Barbie down as a kid but they play with them and dress them up. Redneck from Mississippi clashes with Liberals from California would be the headline.

You live next to someone with different political views than you and whose children play with toys you don't like?

That's gonna be tough to beat. Prayers sent.

We had semi similar situation like that.
We owned some property that we didn't use. It it was handed down. The neighbor would grow hay and bail it so we did have to mess with it. He couldn't afford to buy it, so this arrangement was good for everyone.

We finally went to sell it. When the agent got there to drop a sign and take pictures, there was a pad built up for a trailer.

I turns out the old man died, 1 son for his house and the other was going to live next door. The son said they had been cutting hay for years and hat it was their property. He never bothered to check. He just assumed it was his. He got mouthy at first, but we clearly had paperwork showing ownership and a contract for the he old man to cut hay.

Luckily, we sold the property quickly after that was cleared up. Some old boy bought it and put a trailer on it while he built a house.

Never saw her do it but I'm 100% sure it was her.Especially the way she acted about "her" property. She even planted some tree that died on my property as her way of making peace.

Next door neighbor kid threw rocks at my house when my son wouldn't play with him. He later raped another neighbor's granddaughter. He's locked up in Juvie now.
