I am thinking of getting myself a new watch for Christmas. Rolex Submariner would be my first choice but I am not going to lay out that kind of cash right now. I have it narrowed down to an Omega Seamaster and a Breitling Super Ocean. Both are similarly priced. Which watch should I get?

Subtle brag thread is not very subtle

I’d go breitling

If I were you, I would save my money and get the watch that you want down the line.

My watch holds the time just as good as a Rolex.

Both are nice but be careful jomashop, some of that shite is fake or it's an overseas version and the warranties are different.

I really like my blue Seamaster. Very comfortable band.

Just using Jamashop for research. Will buy from an authorized dealer in town.

Rolex are nice, but there are too many knock-off cheap arse watches that look just like them nowadays that doesn't really make them "exclusive" anymore.. (i.e. Invicta)

No way in hell would I buy that level of watch from anything but an authorized dealer.

Are you really comparing Invicta and Rolex?

Omega all the way man.

Not that there's anything "wrong" with the Breitling, it's just that Omega's have a cool factor that Breitling's just can't match.

Wasn't a comparison, it's a fact. Invicta makes cheap arse watches that "look" like Rolex.. To someone who isn't a watch aficionado and saw someone wearing an Invicta, they could mistake it for a Rolex from a distance..

You should also consider TAG Heuer Aquaracer, solid timekeeper in that price range.

Gotcha...

I don't know what it is but some watches aren't qualified for sale in the USA even though it's a legit watch, not counterfeit. I'm sure it's a tax/tariff issue but not sure. Thought I'd mention that to you. Even Amazon sells some like this, I assume the seller is international but maybe that's changed since Amazon charges tax now.
