My wife will be in a conference during the day so we'll mostly be looking for things to do in the late afternoon & evening. I know about the Pier and the Space Needle but what else? I know we have some OTers up there. Any good breweries? What restaurants do I have to go to?

Preciate it.

EMP Museum, right next to the Space Needle.

For restaurants: Cutter's Bay House near Pike Place and Brouwer's Cafe in the Fremont neighborhood (just north of downtown).

Go hobo hunting. I know a guy if you're interested. Keep that shite on the DL, though.

As far as bars & restaurants go:

The Walrus and the Carpenter (PNW Seafood)
Le Pichet (French Bistro)
Quinn's Pub
The 5 Point Cafe (They have breakfast happy hour)
Canon (Upscale whiskey bar)

You can find a crazy list of breweries to check out on google. Didn't know if you were looking for something specific.

Bruce Lee and Jimi Hendrix are both buried there, if you feel like visiting a cemetery.

Go to the top of the Columbia Tower instead of up the Space needle. Much higher, less crowded, less expensive.

5. The hotel is actually in Bellevue, WA but Seattle is 30 minutes away. The outdoors type stuff will be limited unless I feel like hiking by myself.

If you have a rental car, drive out to Alki Beach and have some drinks/dinner outside there (if it is reasonably clear).

Columbia Tower > Space Needle
Underground Tour is cool as well.

Breweries, there are a shite ton of them.

So the majority of the time you'll be by yourself. Will your wife be with you in the evenings?

If you're interested in food, the early/behind the scene tour of Pike Place is fun. Lots of good places for wine tasting too

Most days she'll be out by 3. The first day she'll be out by 5. The car museum is definitely something I'd be interested in that I can do without her. We'll have a rental car so we're pretty free on where we can go. I'm looking into some golf up there too. Yeah, we'll be together every evening.

Car museum is in Tacoma. It's pretty awesome. If you end up coming down this way I can give you a few places to eat.

Go to Kells Irish Pub in the Pier area & wear a LSU shirt. The LSU fan base is legendary there for taking it over 3 straight days when LSU played Wash. I was there last yr & the mgr was still raving about those fans & would not let me pay for a drink.
