Need to get a new car for work.

I’m needing to get a new car for work. It’s something that I will spend a lot of time in and put around 25k miles per year on it.
Right now I’ve got a 2013 Infiniti G37 with 170k miles on it. I don’t mind buying used but it needs to be 2021 or newer with less that 25k miles. I’d also like it to be sportier and must be 4 doors.
Budget is around 40k and I need it to get at least 19 MPG city but 22 MPG is better for gas reimbursement.

If it’s straight for work and putting miles on something, get a smaller car that has awesome gas mileage

Have you checked out a used Prius??
That panty dropper will have you passing gas stations and leaving a trail of wet soccer moms behind

Honda Accord Sport w/ 2.0. I got one as a work vehicle and I love it.

Check out the Genesis G70. Sporty, fast, reliable, etc.

I’d look at a Kia Stinger.
I’m targeting one for my next car. Bout the most badass sedan you can get for that price range.
Practical, the tech package is nice, decent gas mileage (not top of class) and will outrun most Corvettes that pull up next to you, if you’re into that.
ETA: But at 25k miles/year I’m not sure how the reliability will be. KIA still coming into their own in that regard.

Stinger is a nice car but it’s not outrunning a Vette. Base C8 is around 3.0 and stinger is 4.7. Not really in the same category.

400 HP AWD.
13 second quarter mile.
At a stop light on a public road, yup, that’s beating most vettes that pull up next to you.

A C8 isn’t the average Vette that is pulling up next to you.
9 out of 10 corvettes I see are not C8’s.

A 2021 Lexus ES 350. The ride is great and faster than you think.

ALL Corvettes the past 10+ years have 0-60 times under 4 seconds. All Corvettes the past 25 years have 0-60 times less than the Stinger. Base corvettes...
The Stinger is a nice offering but it isn't matching a sports car. C5 on the corvette has really been a great performer.
No for the OP. I would relax my rules on 2 years old and 25k miles. You are going to destroy the value of that car, I would go for 5 years/100k as my limits since you are just going to rack up the miles anyway. It will cost you half as much. If work is paying for gas I would get an SUV that was comfortable. If you are paying for gas, maybe I would consider something more fuel efficient but to me comfort is more valuable than mileage at 500 miles a week.
