Men's wear house has very fine suits. Get them tailored to fit like a glove. Good suits in the 5-7hundo range.

Modern Tailor

I recommend these guys. You can pick you fabric and customize your suit in tons of ways- inner fabric, type of vents, style of lapel, and pants as well. Only run $300 for a full suit and you give them you measurements. Go to JAB and have them measure you. Enter that and they will send you your custom suit

It depends on your budget. I wear dress pants and/or suit regularly to work. I have bought Jos A Bank in the past and am only somewhat pleased with the qulaity. Since you only need one suit, spend a little more for it and get it custom tailored. I bought a suit fron Indochino online. They will tailor it to fit and have a nice selection. That suit was $400 from Indochino. I'd recommend getting something that fits right. It makes all the difference in the world and you feel confident wearing it.

I could be wrong as I don't know much about Modern Tailor, but I would say the only benefit to Indochino is that they have stores around the country where you can have them measure you and keep it in the system for any future purchases. Basically like a JAB, but better suits in my opinion. I went to the bevery hills store since I was traveling out that way for work. However, if you don't travel or have have no desire to travel, MT and indochino are essentially the same.

Indochino

If you are in the CENLA area go to Weiss & Goldring. They have some really nice suits in the lower price ranges and will tailor them to fit.

This.
Every time someone posts one of those "moving to Alexandria, what's there to see/do" threads, I always want to answer: Weiss & Goldring. It's regularly on Esquire's 100 Best list for men's stores.

the guy asked where to get a suit, not "hey can rover range post some faggy pics of him in a suit and tell us about his favorite shoes?"

I just ordered a suit from SnapSuit.

Its online tailored suit like those other sites. I heard the quality is pretty good. $250 a suit and they give you a $50 credit to get it tailored somewhere if it needs additional alterations.

I'll post a review when it comes in.

Someone asked to see shoes.. And shoes are a pretty integral part of wearing a suit. I was trying to provide imagery to support my well informed opinion on a good suit.. Im sorry that you probably look like a douche going to a court date in your grandpas sport coat.

I have very classic Johnston and Murphy and Allen Edmonds shoes in a lot of colors. I keep them up and re-sole them when I need to.

Cap-toes and wing-tips on the simpler end of the spectrum. Never a squared off toe, always rounded.

both are good shoes. I prefer a slimmer shoe with a leather sole for comfort and sleek look. Allen edmonds does have a few nice wingtips for sure.
