OT ballers, I am about to buy a new fridge and wanted to see what the OT elite are using these days.

I'm thinking that I want to go with the French doors and the pullout freezer drawer on the bottom.

I'm leaning a little towards Samsung.

TIA for the recs

Hideous looking fridge and a complete waste of space.

What's your recommendation then..............

I honestly don't store much in my freezer and I want to maximize fridge space. I'll also have a freezer in the garage.

I've seen some reviews that the pullout freezer are a pain and you have to stack things on top of each other.

Actually just bought one. Multiple stores told me samsungs are being returned left and right. Paid a little more than I wanted to, but got an LG.

reviews are mixed for sure, but i do see a high fail rate on new LGs, also they use a linear compressor and are the only company to do so.
No matter what brand you choose, you will find people who love or hate them. Personally I just say to avoid GE products as they have a high control failure rate.

All newer fridges have similar issues, blame the government and Energy Star.

I find the least issues with electrolux/frigidaire and Whirlpool brands.

Just pick one you like, don't worry about the fail rate as any fridge can fail.

Get the one with the drawer in the middle too. I bought a Whirlpool four-door with icemaker in the door about five years ago and couldn't be happier. No problems at all.

No. No. No. Expensive parts and aren't always available.

Yes, they "LG and Samsung" look cool, appeal to younger buyers and are on the floor of every big box retail, but if you want a refrigerator that just works, go with Kitchen Aid.

Don't believe me? Ask a repairman.

Exactly. Get a fridge that has the most fridge space to freezer space ratio. the french door/bottom freezer one I find gives far too much real estate to the freezer. I have a full length side by side fridgedaire. If I could have just a fridge only that would be fine for me. The only things in my freezer are bags of ice and vodka.

My parents are big frozen food eaters and they have this problem. It becomes disorganized quickly. Plus if you're tall you have to bend down constantly to get out your Haagen-Daaz or Red Baron.

bought the black stainless steel samsung

Double doors on the bottom half. The right bottom half can be a refridge or a freezer. I use it as a beer fridge right now.

My neighbor who repairs appliances says to always but Fridgidaire refrigerators and freezers and whirlpool on everything else. Every brand will break but any repairman can fix those 2. I've called him a couple times and he stops on his way home. He has all the main parts already in the truck.

If you have the room...check out the big twin refrigerator option. Basically, it pairs a single door refrigerator with a single door freezer, then ties them together with trim to resemble a single unit. High end commercial looks, with residential unit price.

Several manufacturers offer this option, but it isn't well publicized.
