Need Outdoor fire pit advice

My wife wants a propane fire pit for Christmas. It’s going to be under a roof in our outdoor kitchen so it won’t get rained on. Does anyone have any advice?
What are some good brands?
Anything to avoid or make sure I don’t overlook?

How tall are the ceilings?
The smoke will collect in any pockets in the ceiling. And it will turn everything a smoke yellow color. If there is a ceiling fan, that should help clear the smoke out for the most part but I'd be curious to see if it prevented it entirely. Also, if you have a fan, the smoke may be blown back down on anyone in the fire pit area.
That's the only obvious thing I can think of.

The ceilings are 15’ but I’m hoping using propane eliminates any smoke issues

i know you want propane but i buy the 99$ woodburning one from walmart. last 2-3 years.

We have this one. On the one hand, I kind of miss the real wood burning fire pit. But I sure don't miss smelling like campfire.

Definitely. You can adjust the flame intensity, so that's nice on those nights where you just want a fire to roast some marshmallows for s'mores. Or you can crank it up to sit outside and stay warm.
