Need opinions on SUVs

Wife (no pics) is wanting another one. Had 2 pilots before the F150 she drives now. She's been pretty determined on a 4Runner. Personally, I don't think they ride all that great.
Just wanted to see if any of you had recently purchased a suv. Which ones should we look at? Why did you chose the one you have? All that stuff...
TIA

Chick's love 4Runners, plus you can drive it and not look like a soccer dad.
What is your budget?
If you are OT Baller, I would seriously consider a new Land Cruiser.

What's your budget? Willing to buy used? Wife has had several SUVs and is very opinionated on all of them.

Cant go wrong with a 4runner

I'd buy a used Tahoe. You can get a lightly used one for a great deal, they're very dependable, and the gas mileage isn't too bad.

Highlander (if your use to Pilot), smooth ride and plenty of features/bang for buck-email me under my profile and I will give you awesome deal with end of the month here

My wife recently bought a 2013 Infiniti JX35 (now it's called the QX60). Really nice luxury midsized SUV.
She drove damn near every midsize and chose the Infiniti, mostly for the ride, quiet cabin, and comfort.

Compared to what, a jet?

GM nailed the stance on these, however I'm not fond of the 'raised floor' in the back of the new ones (done to allow for folding third row).

Nothing wrong with a 4Runner but I love my Yukon.

In that tank, getting 20+ MPG on the highway is pretty amazing. They ride well, parts are abundant, and your family will win most battles in a collision.

I don't see the harm in posting her pics.

4Runner is a good SUV.
If you like that, your only alternative is the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Wrangler Unlimited, or Z71 Tahoe....but even that is much larger and more expensive.
Everything else the 4Runner's size class is a crossover/minivan thing.

4Runners are really nice but like member said you should also check out the Grand Cherokee and Tahoe. The Wrangler is fun but I'm not sure if it would be great as a daily drive vehicle.
You could probably get a pretty sweet deal on a used '14 or '15 JGC Overland at this point.

Or if your interested in pre-owned, FJ Cruiser might be an option (I personally love them, 4Runner is awesome too, especally T force edition)

Really don't want to spend more than $45k. Not against buying slightly used. She has driven a highlander for a a day or so, didn't like it.
She's not a big fan of the Tahoe or Yukon. I'm trying to get her to look at them.

My last two work vehicles have been a dodge Durango and a ford explorer....both were very nice and very dependable vehicles.
the Durango was more powerful and I could pull a heavier load if necessary...fuel mileage was not great.
the explorer was not quite as powerful as the dodge, but the ride was a little better and the vehicle was just generally more refined (i.e. quieter, smoother ride, nicer interior, etc.). fuel mileage was also a bit better than the Durango.
we trade at 110K miles and I never had anything done but oil changes on either vehicle.
I would buy either one as a personal vehicle.
