Need help making a short Europe trip

A coworker/friend and I have to go to Europe this fall for work and we are going to take some vacation when finished and travel for 4-5 days. We will be in Paris when we finish with work. Figuring we can do 2 maybe 3 cities. What would you all recommend for two mid 20 yrold single guys.

I'd go to London and spend most of the time there. Close to Paris and all.

Paris is great and beautiful
London is cool but very expensive and less.. unique Id say in some respects.
Id check out Prague. I haven't been myself but I've heard its a blast.
Amsterdam for coffee naturally.
Berlin as well.

It will take you one day to get there and another day to get back. You really only have 2-3 days. Spend all that money for 2-3 days? I don't think so.

Amsterdam, without a doubt.
look at easyjet dot com. they have very reasonable prices for travel within europe. limited on luggage you can bring though. i was able to get round trip tickets from london to amsterdam and back for 60 euros.

Don't try to do it all. 4-5 days is enough for Paris and maybe one more city. If you are there in September, try to get to or near Munich for Oktoberfest if huge crowds are tolerable. If not, look at Barcelona, London, Brussels, Amsterdam.
Stick to destinations relatively close to Paris and don't waste a bunch of time travelling. London, Brussels, Amsterdam and Marseilles are a few hours by train. Munich, Berlin, Innsbruck and other places can be reached by train overnight. I don't know if Italian trains are any better than when I as there before, but then you could waste an awful lot of time trying to travel by train through Italy, especially Milan.

We will be in Paris for awhile so it's off the list and we can fly out of where ever so we're not going back to Paris. This will be in early Dec.

In that case I'd probably do Rome, plenty to do there and better weather than London/Amsterdam/Munich.
Florence/Rome would work too.

Stick to one or 2 cities. 3 is too much moving around for 4-5 days. Maybe something like Barcelona and Amsterdam or Berlin. Fly between them.

What exactly are your travel dates?
The later in the year points you more towards Spain or Italy.
Is your employer booking your travel or are you?
Lets say you choose Barcelona as the first part of your stopover and you take the train from Barca to Madrid after 3 days in Barca:
Go ahead and book your air as a multi-city itinerary-

MAD-MSY for your return leg
You'll be surprised how reasonable booking flights this way is compared to just the MSY-CDG/CDG-MSY roundtrip. Usually only $100 or $200 more. But you have to book them all together as one trip event.

Go South to Barcelona and Ibiza (and maybe Madrid). They have mini-cruises to and from Ibiza from Barcelona and (high speed ferries too) plus the AVE train connects Barcelona to Madrid in about three hours. Everywhere else will probably be pretty darn cold. Even Rome is still too damn chilly in December.

You´ve evidently never been to Spain. Madrid is FREEZING then.

He and his cohort are in Paris, they need go to London methinks. I can´t remember what Lyon is like then, and I do know the Costa Azul/Cote d´Azur is closed up (would be very, very boring).
Maybe they could go to Antwerp or Amsterdam.
I think Munich would suck (I´ve seen that mentioned a lot).
