Need excuses for prayer day

Currently visiting grandparents in tx. They are talking about headed down to celebrate prayer day at the local town hall. I need an excuse because I know they are going to ask me if I want to come with. Definitely am not hurting their feelings by coming clean and telling them I don't have any interest in that sort of thing.
Best I've got so far is telling them I got to get the projects they want done around the house and don't think I'll have time. Doubt this will work though as they'll just insist on not worrying about the little projects.

One of these days, and trust me on this, you'll be in a place where you would give anything to spend an hour doing something for your grandparents to be with them and make them happy. Don't spend time now trying to figure out how to get out of it.

Tell them you find the entire practice of prayer to be tedious and utterly worthless. Throw in some stuff about evolution and the big bang. It'll at least make for an interesting visit!

Don't be an a-hole. Sometimes you gotta do shite you don't want to do, but it would mean a lot to them. Just sack up and go. You never know how long your grandparents will be around.
