You earned that degree. Display it to remind yourself of what you've accomplished/demonstrate to clients that you are qualified and accomplished to be in your position.

Who cares about a BA from LSU? Maybe if its a PhD or JD or from a good school you could display it.

My mom has my LSU diploma in her house. I display my JD and my bar admission in my office. Hang it where it makes you happy.

No, unless it's portrayed as some shrine with an overly elaborate frame and such. But even then not trashy just kinda gaudy.

Not trashy in a professional office...seems odd in a "normal" office. I don't even know where mine are.

Yes. Not much trasher in the world than a degree from a University.

Your diploma is one of the few things that should ALWAYS be displayed regardless of job/industry.

My college diploma is in a spare bedroom closet. Learning is nonstop. The diploma is a beginning but not an endpoint. Being able to learn and work well with others is more important than knowledge. Being motivated and having integrity counts. Treating others with respect and hard work are impressive.

Just put it in a simple, nice looking frame and hang it on the wall.

If it's important to you, do it.

I once worked with a partner who displayed her McDonald's Hamburger University diploma next to her Yale law school diploma. When people laughed and asked her about it, her response was that at that stage in her life, when she was facing adversity, graduating from Hamburger University was a big accomplishment, and therefore, it means just as much to her as a Yale law degree.

Everyone at my office (engineering) has theirs hanging on their wall. This has been the case at all of the firms I've worked at.

Almost no one in my office has their degrees on the wall, either the PMs in the offices or the underlings in the cubicles.

That said I have been in offices where everyone has them displayed along with the relevant licensure (EI/EIT, PE, etc)
