The whole fuel system is going to need to be redone due to all the old gas that's now full of water. Plus all the fluids and other aforementioned parts. I'd be interested in buying if you'd like to make your life a lot easier..

Man, check all fluids. Pump the tires and drive that shite to a garage. It will need all off the fluids changed and new tires…but not much else.

Change the oil. Siphon out as much of the gas as you can. Add fresh gas and a bottle of heet. Drive to a tire shop and throw on new tires. Drive car.

As other posters said, replace everything that is prone to age out. That means rubber components, I.e., belts, hoses, and tires. I’m not sure if the 6.1 has a timing chain or a belt, but if it’s the latter, you might want to get that shite done before she actually starts putting mileage on it.

If it has been sitting for 4 years, wouldn't the gas be practically sludge? Rather than using a fuel additive, I'd suggest draining the tank, "rinse" or clean it with appropriate chemicals, and fill it with fresh gas.

You were correct. I just needed the oil drained as well as the fuel and it’s good to go.! I’m trying to consider if I should keep it for my grandson. It belongs to him actually but he’s only 11 and I don’t know if it’s worth keeping as an antique for the future. I am not sure. I’m trying to figure out if I should sell it or keep it.

It is all good. It cranked up … fuel and oil drained….perfect shape. The guys were all eyes on it and loved the car.

I’d get it cleaned and fluids changed, make sure it runs and call Give Me the VIN and dump it. Probably get decent money with that mileage and engine.

Rubber does not “dry rot” with age.
They suffer from ozone cracking. You can apply an ozone protecting wax, should be in the sidewalk compound formulation from factory if good tires.
Do not store tires in a garage with electric motors as they create ozone.
Also protect from uv rays, but ozone is the major cause of tire cracking when sitting.

Need to change the brake fluid, absolutely.
All belts and hoses, also.
Drive gently, get it hot.
Then, next day, get it warm, and replace trans filter. Strain the old fluid and reuse, add what you need to.
If you add all new Trans fluid it's apt to harm the clutches.
Do not power flush anything.
If you don't this to a Trans of that age and condition, Trans problems are almost guaranteed.
All belts and hoses, also.
Drive gently, get it hot.
Then, next day, get it warm, and replace trans filter. Strain the old fluid and reuse, add what you need to.
If you add all new Trans fluid it's apt to harm the clutches.
