quote:

The list of "not acceptable" practices include:
Santas or Christmas items (clipart) on worksheets
Christmas trees in classrooms
Elf on the Shelf - that’s Christmas-related Singing Christmas Carols Playing Christmas music
Sending a Scholastic book that is a
Christmas book - that’s Christmas-related
Making a Christmas ornament as a gift - This assumes that the family has a Christmas tree which assumes they celebrate Christmas. I challenge the thought of, ‘Well they can just hang it somewhere else.’
Candy Cane - that’s Christmas-related. Historically, the shape is a ‘J’ for Jesus. The red is for the blood of Christ, and the white is a symbol of his resurrection. This would also include different colored candy canes.
Red/Green items - traditional Christmas colors
Reindeer
Christmas videos/movies and/or characters from Christmas movies” (emphasis added)

Not only banning Christmas, banning "red and green" because they are traditional Christmas colors. What a moron this lady is.

“Yetis” and “Olaf” (the snowman from the movie Frozen.)

Definies the principle.

How about this.. You allow people who want to celebrate Christmas, celebrate Christmas. Those who don't, don't have to. The ones who don't want to can do something else, whatever they want to do.

Why is this a hard concept?

Did they ban all the other religious holidays around this time, or just Christmas?

Sounds like the only thing that needs to be banned is the principal

Ah yes, I remember in the Bible, Torah and Quran the chapters detailing the elf on the shelf and Santa's reindeer.

What's funny is that "Holidays Around the World" was one of the items on her "acceptable" list.

So, holidays around the world...like Christmas?

As a child, Jesus was the last thing on my mind when I saw pictures of Santa, elves, and candy canes in elementary school.

Sounds like Principal Sinclair is terrified her students could grow up to be Christians.

So it appears Ramadan, Kwanzaa and Hanukkah are ok, just nothing Christmas. She should be shipped to Iran where she will never have to see Christmas stuff again.
