WAFB) - Louisiana is close to linking 1,000 hepatitis A cases to an outbreak that began in 2018.

The latest numbers tracked by the state’s health department show officials linked the outbreak to 959 cases of hepatitis A infection around Louisiana.

Five other cases being tracked by the department are not connected to the outbreak.

Between three and five outbreak-related infections were documented in dozens of parishes around the state.

Ruh oh! Time to shut the state down and more red tape everywhere!

Jeez, what a dirty fricking state

“The transmission of hepatitis A is mainly faeco-oral, and the infection control measures those called "Enteric Precautions", or blood and body fluid precautions. These include the wearing of latex gloves when handling faeces, urine, saliva, and blood. Handwashing is essential.“

I’ve been calling for a wall around Livingston Parish for years now. No better time than now.

You don't shut down for an illness when you already have a vaccine for it.

Thinking people don't shut down for any virus, vaccine of not. It accomplishes nothing as our ridiculous folly over the last few months has shown.

There's a vaccine for flu and it still kills tens of thousands of people annually.

Should we shut it down every flu season?

Face masks won't work right now, until all the health care workers get them, then they'll start working.
