True story. Checked into a hotel was a newish Courtyard Inn I think. Walk into my room and a 5 foot chunk of ceiling has fallen on one of the beds.

Got a new room, considered going to a different hotel but figured lightning wouldnt strike twice

Not nearly as near as for that couple. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

All of the attorneys reading this thread are thinking shite like "damn, I'll bet he can never enjoy movie theaters again" and "he will never be able to eat popcorn or drink a coke again"...

I’ll admit my wife is very shaken up by what happened and doesn’t want to set foot in a theater any time soon.

I would be shaken up by that shite as well, but I don't think I would be damaged for life or anything like that.

I had a similar incident happen when i was watching Ant-Man at the Grand in Lafayette a few years ago.

Good thing I think Amy Schumer is an unfunny hag.

This is dumb. Is she going to avoid all buildings now?

Probably not, but I’m going to cut her a little slack an hour removed from what was a pretty scary moment. Tough guy.
