Near Death Experience at Movie Tavern Juban

My wife and I are beyond fortunate tonight, but the people sitting a few rows in front of us are even luckier.

We went to see Venom tonight at the Movie Tavern Juban at 6:10 PM. We sat down and when the trailers started, we noticed how loud it was in the theater. Chair vibrating loud. Oh well, we are fine with loud...but this was really loud.

Anyway, about an hour into the movie there is a loud crash and then a scream. I thought someone had knocked plates off their end table but my wife noticed something large had fallen from the ceiling!

A large piece of metal, most likely a support structure for the lighting, had fallen from the ceiling and obliterated the chair next to a couple. The woman’s purse was in the chair. Had she been in the chair, she would be dead. I cannot stress how lucky every person in this theater was that the one seat struck was unoccupied.

Refunds and apologies were given, but we are both shaken up by what happened and now there’s something else to worry about at the theater. Crazy ending to a pleasant evening. And the first half of Venom was quite good, for those wondering.
