You better check the measurements on that turkey real close like, it'll be the size if a quail when it shows up.

And they wonder why nobody trusts the media any more.

NBC: If you ignore that thing making everything way more expensive than 4-5 years ago, it’s actually cheaper.
So the news is telling you to play make believe to make yourself feel better.

That is a few bucks under my family of five’s CFA order. And that’s with 2 kids meals and 3 #1s

ought to drop a load of Hungry Man dinners on the Russians and Ukrainians.

That number is bullshite. Doesn’t take into account all the booze I need to put up with my wife’s side of the family

I'm the baby of the family - I don't cook shite, I don't bring shite, I just show up and feast!

Since nobody seemed to actually read the article, I'll fill you in. The author who wrote this was citing a basic propaganda article published by the American Farm Bureau, who are obviously trying to convince you to buy a turkey. The author does mention that Thanksgiving food prices are up 19% since 2019, but most of these ridiculous claims come from the American Farm Bureau.

This is some 1984 type level of propaganda

I'm not even serving a bottle of wine less than $58

I have a honey ham in the fridge that cost over $100
Posted on 11/27/24 at 5:21 am to OMLandshark

I highly doubt this.

What are you serving just a turkey and ham and peas? I added up my usual round up of dishes, and it was getting to more than a hundred real quick, so I decided to eat out since it was cheaper and I was not expecting any one to come over.

Just like Democrats, these legendary media sites continue to lie. Can't they see, we the people can see right through them?
What's the saying,,,don't piss on my shoes and tell me it's raining!

Friend,
It escapes my reasoning why this news is so difficult for people to believe. It is easy to spend more than $58, but if you are trying to feed ten for that price, all it takes is looking at the weekly Winn Dixie flyer to see how it possible.
Turkey $0.49/pound
Smoked ham $1.49/pound
Sweet potatoes $0.25/pound
Russet potatoes $0.70/pound
Pumpkin and sweet potato pies $3.99
Canned vegetables are under $1/ can
You can buy five pounds of flour, five pounds of sugar and a pound of butter for under $10.
If you are not cost conscious it is easy to double that cost with a single dish. For instance, Uncle has me traveling to Honey Baked Ham today to get him a boneless ham for $103.

TulaneLSU

We stopped at Wendy’s while traveling yesterday. 2 combos were $23.
Ain’t no damn way you’re gonna feed 10 people Thanksgiving dinner for $60
