It works for legitimate US companies. Unfortunately, 90% of the calls we get these days are not from legit companies or they are not in the US.

Companies must update their roles every 31 days, so there will be a delay regardless.

I downloaded an app called Hiya that was supposed to reduce the calls. Not sure if it works, but it does label most of the calls as potential scammers.

Sometimes I enjoy the calls. If I'm in a good mood, I usually say my name is Mike Hunt and get them to repeat it constantly.

If I'm pissed, my usual go-to is "How bad did you have to eff up your life to have to resort to telemarketer scamming as a career." That usually ends the call pretty quickly.

bullshite. You are too young to remember the days before the registry. It isn't 100% but you have no clue how many calls I used to get all day, every day. I would say at minimum is knocked out 95% of the calls. Hell AT&T and MCI used to call multiple times a day depending on which carrier I used back then.

Should be stated that the 5% is mostly comprised of political and charity crap which they of course gave an exemption to so they could still beg for their campaigns.

People give away their information everyday and don't think/realize it.

Download the Hiya App. It warns you for “potential” to straight up “telemarketing” and blocks them for you if you decline the call. The more fake calls you answer, the more you will get. I have to answer basically every unknown call for my job so it’s been a huge help

Don't answer calls from unrecognized numbers, and eventually the number of calls you're getting will decrease.
If it's a valid phone call, they'll leave voice mail.

Tried that. Didn't work.

Also tried pretending to be interested but that didn't work.

Next thing I might try is forwarding my phone to a scammer's fax so they call each other.

They use it to make sure yours is a working number to blow up.

All they need to verify that is a robodialer that calls all possible numbers. If it rings it's a good number.

It used to work somewhat back when there were still a lot of landlines in homes. Not so much on cell phones, especially since the callers now mask numbers and shite.

Next time she calls ask for for nudes and if she's in to swinging. She'll either quit calling, or show up at your door.
