Yes, I’m in fifth grade. It’s an advanced studies academy. I could be the Valedictorian at most Orleans Parish Public High Schools.

How the hell did St Thomas More get one? That school is what happens when you combine trashy oilfield baws with rich entitled trust fund kids.

The list is much larger.

https://www.publicschoolreview.com/louisiana/blue-ribbon-public-schools

quote:

For the 2020-21 school year, there are 72 blue ribbon public schools in Louisiana, serving 40,382 students.

quote:

The top ranked blue ribbon public schools in Louisiana are Benjamin Franklin High School, Eden Gardens Fundamental Elementary School and Haynes Academy School For Advanced Studies. Overall school rank is based on a school's combined math and reading proficiency test score ranking.

quote:

For the 2020-21 school year, there are 18 high schools, 20 middle schools, 59 elementary schools 38 pre-k schools, 5 charter schools, and 26 public schools.

Doesn't that total to 166 schools?

(FWIW, IWHI)

There are currently 72 Blue Ribbon Schools in Louisiana, but there were only 10 awarded for 2020.

They have one thing in common, but I’ll get banned if I say what it is.

Forked Island/E. Broussard District - Abbeville
Indian Bayou Elementary School District - Rayne
Those are very tiny public schools through 8th grade and probably 99% white.

That is the number of Louisiana schools that are currently operating that have received the award this year or in prior years.

For 2020-21, only 10 schools received the award.

Both of Baton Rouge's are private schools. The mayor doesn't have any control over those.
