lol that’s Nashville. That’s nothing. Probably a shite hole in that area if it’s that cheap. And likely rented.
Public records show it's the parent's house.

inner city schools already have terrible funding
Terrible spending is their issue, not funding.

From the video posted earlier, the house looks pretty average. Not a shite-hole but also not a "this is a well-off family" look.

Awful students and parents is the problem

People who are still subject to biases. How do you run checks and balances?
If one mental health professional says you're unfit but another one clears you, does that still prevent you from purchasing one? Who is responsible for determining which of those professionals is correct? Or are you forever red-flagged by someone who might have an agenda?
That is a great point. That would indeed be an issue. I don't have a rebuttal for that.

That’s an easy fix with an electronic locking system and key fob or badge entry
All the bad guy would have to do is take a fob/badge from a kid and get in.

They spend more per kid than any other place. It's the bloated bureaucry that steals from the kids.

Guys - you’re way too hung up on real estate. That area is crazy valuable but tons of homes have been rented to poor college kids for decades,
And a home being valued at 700k there means it was probably exactly that.

That's fair. But could be a "rules for thee, not for me" type thing. Growing up, I knew MANY raging Southern Baptists who spoke out against Sunday alcohol sales but got plenty enough drunk themselves regardless.
I'm definitely interested in seeing how the gun was acquired.

I think that call should be made by mental health professionals.
Would you want a mental health professional to keep you from buying weed, driving, or interacting with the public?

This. We have moved to either throwing medication at the mentally ill that when they can't afford they stop taking and go off the deep end, or we celebrate their illness and let them have easy access to our most impressionable. I do not know what the answer is for the mental illness in our country, but what we are doing now is not working. It's beyond time to stop pointing at inanimate objects as the root cause and start actually protecting the mentally ill from themselves and others.
This...times 1,000,000

I don't know about all cities, but the inner city shitty schools in Atlanta are actually the highest funded per pupil of any other public schools in the state. You want to find under-funded schools, you have to get way out in the country.

Confirmed by public records, it's the house of the parents.

And that's why I don't have the answer. I would love to....but it's likely an incredibly complex fix.
I think it's easier to try and fix the mental health issues themselves but even that is incredibly difficult and complex.

Must be crazy nasty people to only have 700k value. There are small 3 million dollar homes around there. I lived over there in a shithole and my landlord sold it for 1.5 a few years ago.

I'm only reporting what Zillow listed, relax.
