inner city schools already have terrible funding, as does LEO most places. Where is all this money going to come from to install all this security at schools being proposed ITT? We've got probably a couple thousand new cop salaries that will need to be paid plus new high level security systems. None of that is cheap, and it's going to hit local taxpayers not Uncle Sam. And for what? To prevent extremely rare occurrences of school shootings? I'd gladly pay more taxes to make our schools better and into more funding for policing the general population. Those two things will have a much greater net positive for society and kill two birds with one stone.

I highly doubt a young artist can afford that. I'm guessing living with parents.
.....which makes me wonder if this is another case of the murderer taking the gun without permission(stealing) from the parents.
