Nashville PD has been very reluctant to enforce the many of the cities Covid based restrictions.
After a weekend which included pictures detailing the department’s willingness to look the other way in regards to mask and social distancing rules and rumors of officers being paid off to not shut down a 300 person house party, the mayor vowed that this weekend would be much different.
My bet is that the department will go over board with it for a week or two, get ripped with complaints, shrug their shoulders, say just following orders, and then go back to looking the other way.

Ridiculous imo. We have enough crime in this city as is. A citation / fine would suffice. Don’t arrest the tourist - i.e., the person spending money in your city and supporting the local businesses.
