higher more shitey workers, or go the smart route and attract quality workers and have a great program."

This isn’t new. See this 2018 NASA Office of the Inspector General report (pg 3 for findings).

quote:

NASA should've awarded the contract for the core stage to LM, not Boeing. LM already had the expertise, organizational structure, etc in place at MAF.

Not only this but NASA awarded SLS Core as sole source justifying the transfer from another cancelled program, the Ares I upper stage. LM had already won Orion befire Ares was awarded.

at least NASA MICHOUD is consistent with everything else built in NOLA

that’s the motto:

“OVER BUDGET & MANY YEARS LATER”

Ie. Airport
Any road or Highway
heck, it took the construction crew years to build a “wing replica” over the WWII museum.

it’s my home city, but it’s a Banana Republic.

that biatch Mayor has walked into contractor meetings for large projects and bidding process & has literally walked in & says “It’s too white up in heeeya, yall holla
when we it heat darker”

racist POS &’then give it to under qualified brother in laws that bilk the system & nothing gets done in efficiently.

it’s been going on for MANY DECADES & no end in sight!

Move it to East Texas. Hire some hard-working people who know how to turn a wrench and can do math without a calculator. Pay them well.

Problem solved.

They’re hiring unqualified people over better candidates based on their race, pretty simple

NASA runs MAF out of Huntsville and has for years.

They were determined to run off Lockheed after Shuttle ( despite Lockheed's success running the facility and delivering the ET on time and on budget) and they did.

All the high-paying jobs ( there aren't that many anymore) go to Bama folk, and all subcontracts are let out of Huntsville.

It will only get worse for the taxpayer. After Trump forced them to accept the fixed cost AF1, and now Starliner, they said moving forward they’ll only pursue cost-plus contracts.

They have lost crippling money on this project. I think I read that there were already $1.6 billion over budget.

This will be the ultimate outcome for any jobs that AI can't do. DEI isn't sustainable. Competition isn't just a part of human nature but more significantly it's just waaaaaay too ingrained in our culture -- Americans are used to getting the best shite before anyone else does. DEI proponents are under the impression that all people are equally qualified and this is just "giving the minorities a shot." It's not. Either merit is the most important thing or it isn't. Merit drives America and it's why we have the status we do.

I'm not sure about Boeing and DEI and how much of the problem is related to that, I'm sure it is, but I do know that all quality control will eventually suffer if merit isn't the very first and most important qualification on everyone's list.

Why the hell would you let anything of importance or value be built in Louisiana? That’s literally the worst workforce in the country lol.
