I know nothing about the women or the men they were chosen over, but because of DEI there will always be that thought in the back of peoples heads to “are they there because they earned it or are they there for other reasons?”

That will always say more about the individual with that sort of thought than the candidates.

Good quota to repopulate the Earth in case something happens while they're up there.

By your own statement I lack understanding of how DEI works. Please explain it correctly to me so I can not view it as I stated above?

Isn't that the typical breakdown for college enrollment now? I guess they didn't choose a HVAC tech then.

A female anesthesiologist is just as worthless as a female astronaut

JUST an anesthesiologist? Good lawd baw. Do you have any idea what is required to become an anesthesiologist? 12-14 years of school and training after high school. They’re a medical doctor you moron. Also, every astronaut is required to have a master’s degree. These aren’t dumb people. She’s leaving a $500k+ job to follow a dream. How’s your plant operator job doing?

Do they have a master’s degree in in engineering, biological science, physical science or mathematics? If so, and they meet some work and physical requirements, then they can apply. Many apply but it’s very tough to get chosen.

Side note, one of my ex-gfs worked for JSC in Houston. She did all of the scheduling for the astronauts including their training and life in general. She controlled their lives. At that time, there were about 130 people training to become astronauts. From all walks of life. It’s difficult training and takes years. I partied with many of the astronaut wannabes in the early 2000s.

This makes no sense.

Radiation is far more intense in NRHO than LEO and males are more radiation tolerant than females.

Radiation is one of the biggest engineering challenges to get man to Mars.

We need to start a pool on which one will be the first to "curb rash" the wheels of the Mars Rover.

Not sure what the point of this is. NASA embracing SLS is all you need to know about how serious they are for getting off earth.

It's a contracting agency to grease the pocketbooks of the defense industry, and not at all serious about doing anything innovative or cutting edge.
