She was a very devoted wife to her husband who didn't use his time in the white house so she could further her political career once her husband was out of the white house.

Too bad certain recent former first ladies have not followed in her footsteps.

Her and her husband's war on drugs have ruined millions of lives. Turning the prison system into the profitable disgrace it is today. I will not mourn her loss

Do some research on the sentencing reform act of 1984 and the 100:1 ratio. No, she didn't pass these laws but she was a figurehead. One of the biggest in the 1980s, when drug prosecution was absurd. Not saying she was evil but I'm not going to sit here and act like she was some great woman

They say Gable’s going to marry again—maybe he is. And now there are two girls in his life—one of whom may well make up his heart.

Has something at last happened to Clark Gable—something, to be exact, in the form of a slim, brown-eyed, brown-haired beauty named Nancy Davis—that is changing the fitful pattern of his romantic life? Is there to be an end to the short-lived affairs, the undecided hovering over first one girl and then another, that has been his story ever since he got back from the war?

Has he, in other words, finally found the Gable Woman, for whom he is more than willing to give up the Gable Women?

The fact that you think we are "near" facism shows how truly retarded you are. Then again, everyone already knew that.

While I strongly disliked her and basically everything she stood for while involved in there political realm, I do believe she was a well intentioned person that had her heart in the right place. May she RIP.

Well if that's her best achievement besides the war on drugs then I'm not impressed

You blame Nancy Reagan for the war on drugs? Narcotics were outlawed before Ronald was even a prominent actor, and all Nancy did was create the slogan "Just Say No". You story is an incredible revision of history.

Half of the posters here probably weren't old enough to remember her as the First Lady.
