Plus I could get a spot on the water and take the boat out to the islands whenever I wanted to.

Sailing team is pretty pimp too.

You'd have to join The Bridges. John Fourcade is a member over there.

Plays to a +2 I think.

Those are the subtle truck nuts that soccer moms don't notice and give you the evil eye.

Truck nuts for the modest man.

Gonzales.

Not losing, but gaining especially on Hwy 30.

IMO Zaxby's needs to go.

None that I can think of..... Economy is booming, it's not dependent solely on oil.

Restaurants don't have great odds to start with, but The Real Pickle in Shreveport closed down after many years. That was a bummer.

Dearmanns, in Baton Rouge. Forced out of their lease after an electrical fire. Owner of the mall had no firewalls between all the shops in the mall and quite a few suffered smoke damage. There was a previous fire next door to Dearmanns a few years ago, that some have erroneously blamed on the burger place.
Lots of people miss Dearmanns and hope it can reopen in another location.

Sad thing with the oil field being down is the odds of Houma getting a Cracker Barrel or a Zea's is slim to none now.

I was on the golf, swimming, basketball, sailing team while at SSC. The sailing was probably the most fun though.

Not that I went there but Burke's Outlet (discount type store) and a restaurant that was the place to go for breakfast and lunch (lease price went way up from what I heard).

Getting a new Dairy Queen though .. in the stupidest of all locations traffic wise as far as getting in and out.

The success of twin peaks is directly correlated to the abundance of f250s and truck nutz. They should have seen it coming.

Zaxby's in Gonzales is terrible. Decent idea but not competitive with Canes. Hell, I drive to Chic Fil A in BR before going to Zaxbys.
