I grew up in a town that had an old school card shop called the Dugout. Complete with an old guy who spent every day behind the counter hoping people would come in to talk sports and trade cards.
We’d bike down with enough coins to buy a pack of cards, and bring a box of our own cards to trade.
Anyways, for some reason he bought into the beanie baby craze. It took over half his shop. Then when it all crashed, he had to shut down. I blamed the beanie babies.
