this is an early Thread of the year for sure.

Throw in some meth stories (I think only one reference to cocaine by a former neighbor) and some skank pics and we have a sure fire contender.

The most Louisiana thing I've read today.

Imagine in the whole of the history of earth, this is the first time these 6 words have ever been strung together in a sentence.

Ain’t no Banana Republic got nuthin’ on us.

If the allegations here are close to being true, that there aren’t more swift repercussions in-place to protect Employees and the Construction community at-large (looking at you State Contracting Board) is typical Louisiana shite.

It’s endemic of why the State is settling to the #50 position.

oh how we so have missed all your dick packages

whenever Dennis got mad he went to bag o dicks on the internet and mailed you a secret package of dicks or a dick. depended on how angry he was. It started with a package to Kelly where when he opened the box confetti dicks and glitter exploded out of the package. Then he sent a package of gummy dicks to another employee. He sent me and HR lady at the time chocolate one. I was always so perplexed why some one would waste $40 on upsetting someone you don't like bc we laughed and had a field day with it.

That’s pretty standard public bid policy in most states. Texas, Mississippi, Florida the same. They can bar companies from bidding but it takes a lot. And as long as the Surety is posted financially they aren’t on the hook. 24 projects with $750k in liquidated damages isn’t an incredible amount and it could be for 100 different reasons-many beyond the companies control, many not.

But what it does say is management isn’t as smart as they think they are. I’ve always looked at liquidated damages as a rebate and I don’t like giving my hard earned money back to an owner because I’ve let a project get away from me.
